The GEOHEALTH-UH Community strives to develop opportunities for exchange through conferences on various themes. Meetings are held in a relaxed atmosphere to allow “networking” of people from different backgrounds and disciplinary affiliations. For the events, guests whose experiential, practical or scientific expertise is recognized exchange and discuss with participants on different subjects, in order to better understand the current issues. Therefore, the “HealtGeo-UH Thursdays” are mini-conferences which focus on a topical theme or of transversal interest to all disciplines whose central or peripheral subject is human health. They meet two objectives:

  • present and discuss the work carried out by the researchers,

  • promote and discuss the work carried out,Raise awareness on an issue of scope or health emergency.

The conference is led by one or more speakers (maximum 3).

GeoHealth_UH Thursdays” are held on a quarterly basis, on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., in a semi-formal space (café-restaurant, bar, hotel lobby, etc.). They are open to external people (researchers, administrations, health professionals, etc.). The duration of a conference is one hour and a half, i.e. up to 45 minutes of presentation and 45 minutes of discussion. Presentation is followed with questions from participants to allow the Community to interact and network, around pastries and refreshments.
